My blog is currently totally dedicated to raising funds for the Movember Foundation
What I am doing is designed to Raise Eybrows and Raise Funds.
The suggestion that I do my beard in rainbow colours instantly generated a lot of interest and the promises of donations made it hard to say no to the idea. Within minutes I had many promises of $50.00 donations and it quickly became apparent that this was something that could raise a lot of donations for a worthy cause.
The hairdresser is booked for the 16th of November. Sometime in the evening of the 16th we should have available a photo of the finished colouring.
I have set the target at $50,000.00 based on the average promised donation so far being $50.00 partnered with the expectation of getting 1,000 donations.
Some of my friends and workmates that have already promised the $50.00 donations are on low incomes and $50.00 represents almost three hours wages. I know some will genuinely not be able to afford to donate this much. but on the flip side I know many of my friends and workmates have big hearts and deep pockets and could well keep the average high.
